Sitka Cirque accepts students on scholarship from Friends of Sitka Circus Arts. Sitka Cirque and FOSCA believe in providing a circus school and community that is accessible to all. Both organizations work hard to provide scholarships to students in need. This past school year, FOSCA offered almost $5,000 in financial aid to students! If you would like to sponsor a student please contact board member Donna Donohoe 907 747 5100. If you'd like to apply for a scholarship print the form from the link below. Applications due before midnight August 23rd!
Work exchange is available to anyone who is in the cirque program, or has guardianship of students in the cirque program.
The exchange was created to help ease the financial burden of cirque classes on students and families, as well as to keep the cirque studio clean and functional. Work exchange follows our semester program, which means that by applying to the work exchange program you are agreeing to work for a full semester.
The work exchange schedule is flexible, but is based on when classes are not in session. Sitka Cirque director will determine the final schedule.
Most work exchange will be focused on cleaning the aerial equipment, and the aerial space.
We also offer work exchange for teacher's helpers for our youth beginner, kinder and pre-school classes.
This program is limited to a max number of hours per week, so applications should be filled out sooner rather than later. Applications are due two weeks prior to the start of the new semester. If you or someone you know has missed the deadline, you can still check with the cirque director to see if the position has filled.
Previous and past attendance and dedication to the program will be taken into account when work exchange students are being selected.
